We got bamboozled again by our own politicians!
We asked for borders secure from terrorists. That's all, a reasonable request that we should not have to demand.
SECURE THE BORDER! That's it, that's all. Done.
There is no discussion, no debate, no victims, no favorites.

We ask for secure borders and they give us scapegoats. They had no intentions of solving the problem from the beginning. They just needed the problem so they could wag their peckers at each other, get some camera time, and fight amongst themselves.
Politicians thrive on issues. They don't care what it is as long as it gets press and they can argue about it. They are pandering to people who can't even vote. I find it really unconvincing that they have any deep compassion when only a few months ago the same politicians that are addressing the hoards were demanding that employers be hammered for hiring illegals. So I have to believe that they will say or do anything that will get them some face time and is against "the other side" whether the subject is immigration or the war on terror.
The war on terror would have been over if we had not had to fight it on 2 fronts, the battlefield and Washington. But this entry is about immigration and politicians.

Up until now most of us didn't even know there was a problem with illegals and if we did we were content to just overlook it, everyone was ok. The politicians won this round. They have us fighting amongst ourselves.
Here is the rub; when the Mexican flags came out and the demands started I knew something was wrong. All being fueled by people not even involved, just looking for anarchy. The vast number of people interested in the outcome is too many to count. Every business that uses the illegals, sells to them, provides services and profits from their labor doesn't want anything to change. The Mexican Government damn sure doesn't want anything to change, inspite of what he says in front of the camera. He gets the money they send home (all of that out-bound money is another problem of it's own) and his problem population is now ours. If low income hard jobs was the key to economic strength then wouldn't every third world rat hole be running circles around us.
The very same arguments were used when slavery was about to end.
"THE UNION WILL FALL APART !"
"THE ECONOMY WILL FAIL!"
"WHO WILL DO THE WORK?"
"WE HAVE TO HAVE THEM!"
Well the rest is history. None of this happened and I don't see it happening this time if we don't have illegal labor.
Then maybe our children could develop some character doing hard jobs so they can aspire to better things and move out of that job for the next generation.
What kind of assimilation can we expect from a neighbor who's first act in the promised land was to break the law?
Now that they have been led "out of the shadows" the American people even the ones that weren't paying attention are outraged. If we want to get technical there are a few national security issues that should be considered. Foreign nationals attempting to influence U.S. policy comes to mind.
Demand?

TO SLEEP WITH MY WINDOWS OPEN

Well I'm back! Actually never left but I figured there just wasn't much to say that had not been said.
I have said before that I don't fear Al-qaeda(at least they say what they mean and mean what they say) as much as I fear my own government. We are truly doomed.
The Ports. The Border. G.W. running around handing out more technology than wild Bill.
He takes atomic technology to India and comes home with fruit import deals. Jack got a better deal with the bean stalk.

Political hacks and has-beens in enemy territory calling for our defeat! This is truly terrifying, not some third world goat brained simpleton.

There are plenty of foreign companies running parts of American infrastructure but at this point in history it is just a bad idea the way it is going down is just wrong. The Chinese are bidding on toll roads in Indiana. And it goes on and on.

I am another step closer to being an isolationist. We don't need any allies if we are the independent power that we once were. The world followed our lead until we stopped leading.

You want energy independence?
Here is a simple suggestion. Kill bad guys, destroy evil, correct the path of civil society.

I would love to see the look on your face about now.

By fixing these simple things we will not be:
>Spending insane amounts of resources on the least productive of us.
>Fuel for police cars traveling millions of miles every day nation wide going nowhere to defend us from scum.
>Housing, heating and cooling, cooking and cleaning billions of sq. feet of wonderful facilities that could otherwise be used to house the truly needy.
>We could sleep with our windows open saving precious fuel.
Once we have finished killing all of the bad guys overseas (if we would just get after it) then we can bring home every soldier and defend home. Start cleaning house from the inside.
Quit sending trillions of dollars out of here in the name of helping someone not drink their own waste water only to see it used against us later by some warlord that got it instead.

PREEMPTIVE?

The victim lay on the shiny cold steel table of the coroner. The detective scratches his head trying to figure out why the victim was cut from armpit to belt.
The cop interviews the person that spilled the poor victims guts out.
"Why down the side? Aren't there easer ways? Was it a ritual of some sort?"
The man with blood still on his hands has been called a murder, bully, tyrant, evil, killer.
He looks up and explained; "He raised his hand to kill me and the only part I could get was his side. Should I have waited for his arm to come down first. Would the outcome be less gruesome if it was a more traditional demise. If I had waited I would be the victim." So you see, things are not always as they appear.
DOES THAT MAKE IT PREEMPTIVE?!
I don't care what happens to the 'bad guys'! You want to stop prisoner abuse don't have prisoners. Problem solved.
They don't need democracy they need a republic. ( there is a difference ). I really don't care if they get that. I just want them to leave me alone. I don't want my government to take my money and my friends and go around experimenting in new world order I like the world just fine. The only thing they need to be doing in this regard is killing bad guys with such vengeance that they will not bother us again and leave, that's it.

How can I go to work everyday knowing that my government is taking money from me at gun point that I have sweated for and give it to countries that want to kill me and mine, hate me, and never give back or produce anything that I might be interested in.
I watched the opening parade of the last Olympics and could not believe the number of counties that I had not even heard of ( and yes I did go to school, one day for my brother). I have searched the web for a source for a figure of how much money goes out of this country in foreign aid. Never came up with a number but it is more than the GDP of many countries.

I am sickened to the pit of my soul by the shenanigans in Washington. These useless idiots show up for work and still address each other as "my esteemed colleague." They spend billions of dollars like it was nothing and hope that the people don't wake up and mess up their life size Monopoly game that they are playing.
The fate of mankind is at risk and on the day of the most significant event in the Middle East (whence came my father, by the way.) since the birth of Christ just about every politician with a "D" after his name had nothing good to say.
I have heard them bleating such amazing things as;
*"It means nothing."
*"It aint over yet."
*"our troops are terrorizing women and children under cover of darkness."

*"gulags"
*"this war can't be won."
*"Pull out immediately."
Are these people for real? Alkida doesn't even have the support of the Arab street lately. It seams like the only ally they have are the Dems, U.S. Lib press, A.C.L.U and of corse the French that won't even stand up for themselves.

John Kerry is as close to the Manchurian Candidate as I ever want to see. Consider his background, education and up bringing. He knew very early on that he wanted to be in politics and a stint in the service would be a useful entry on his resume no matter how distasteful. That is why is was so short and colorful a career.
They all remind me of the depiction in some old war movies of the village mayor running around in his honorary sash of office kowtowing to the enemy forces trying to prove himself useful.
The "Rs" are just as useless for not speaking up and calling them out.
When will they learn that pulling out is never the right thing to do.
Just ask Bill Clinton about the stained dress.

DODGED A BULLET

I know that many had thought (hoped) I had given up on blogging. Well according to my lovely bride, me running out of things to bitch about is as likely as the seasons not changing.
Now enough time has passed for me to calmly and reflectively recount our experience in the hurricane that wasn't.
A life of Scouting, military, law enforcement and trying to be a good provider just doesn't allow me to think in terms of waiting for someone to come get me and mine out of harms way. Besides that puts those rescuers in jeopardy that they otherwise would not have gone, who am I to demand that of them.
In the days leading up to the evacuation, my resourceful wife, who is a survivor of many political and military conflicts overseas (corporate brat and army wife) set about securing lodging. She strategically selected the safe side of Houston based on our limited meteorological experience. Then started collecting provisions for 7 people, 2 birds and a dog. She packed the bags, some kids toys and had it all standing by.
I checked all of the camping gear, stoves, lanterns, 1st aid kits, flashlights, portable T.V., radio, batteries, canned goods, etc. And after seeing what had happened in N.O. I had all of my "green gear" shotgun, pistol, ammo, rappel rope, canteens, machete, wire, zip-ties and any other defense and offence contingency gear. You get the point, I have seen total mission failure because somebody forgot the toilet paper. In our house these things stay at the ready, we just don't understand not having these things at all times it just makes good sense.
We had seen on TV the miles of traffic creeping up the freeway. I worked Wednesday with the peace of mind that comes with selfreliance and preparedness. 6:00 p.m. was the mandatory evac for the Galveston zone. We were not in any hurry to get in that traffic. We we relaxed loaded and planed to roll out in the cool of the wee hours knowing we did not have far to go but we would have to negotiate with a cop at an exit ramp to get to our destination since they were forcing everyone many miles north of Houston (I still don't understand this part of the evac plan).
At 01:30 on Thursday morning we rolled out. Traffic on I-45 was nonexistent, we rolled up to beltway 8 then west to postoak and north to the back door of the hotel ( inspite of a several block wrong turn on my part) we were in the room in 2 hours. I am almost ashamed to tell this story after listening to my friends and neighbors tell of 25 to 35 hour trips to places that should only take 3 or 4 hours.
The hotel was very active even at that early hour. I-10 that passes only a few hundred feet in front of the hotel was a packed parking lot of frustrated hot tired scared desperate people. Our reservation was in doubt due to the "state of emergency" so after some negotiation the young and very stressed manager gave us a suite as opposed to the two rooms we had reserved. This turned to be a much better deal dollar wise and had a full kitchen.
With two days left until the storm arrived we got to catch up on some rest and watch TV play with the kids and just hang out. The hotel was already just about full from the people that had been brought over from New Orleans for about three weeks.
I was obviously going into this with some preconceived ideas (prejudice) of what I would find and sadly they were all confirmed.

The manager had been thrust into this hell hole only 2 weeks ago due to the other manager leaving after the "katrina victims" arrival. The fire alarm was a shambles. Every zone on every floor was in alarm or trouble due to pull stations being activated and smoke detector heads being removed or disabled. I spent an entire day fixing what I could and silencing what couldn't be fixed. Then I gave this poor green kid a class about his fire alarm system and what he needed to tell his regular alarm company when he called them when this was all over. For this he gave us an even greater discount on our accommodations.

There was a church group from California on there way home from Louisiana via Houston when their flight was canceled so they went back into action getting food donations from a local store and using the hotel kitchen they put on great meals for the "guests" at the hotel and entertainment for the kids. It was great, they never thought they would get a "2fer" when they left home but they were real troopers.

I thought at this point I would get into the losers and dregs that we were surrounded by but enough has been said about the victims and non-victims of the New Orleans disaster. Suffice it to say that it was painfully obvious why these people were "victims" and will always be. We created these poor devils with our failed efforts at a Great Society. We have to find a way to end this cycle of failure.

We made it home and were spared even a scratch on the house, as a matter of fact I could have stood to have a little more loose Debris cleaned from my trees. But this was a great lesson in what not to do.

I have no doubt that we will spend this and probably much more. Much of it will be doled out to pacify, placate and generally make people feel better without true reconstructive benefit.

The storm didn't kill that city the people did!
What we have here is a rare opportunity. An opportunity to do it bigger and better.

What ever happened to all of those great ideas we saw at the Worlds Fairs and in Popular Science magazine of how fantastic the future would be?
For the kind of money we are going to spend on this it should be stunning.
Let the city flood and call it Venice; works for them. Do something, anything but make it special! If we just rebuild the projects and in the same old places and the same old style then we will get the same old conditions.
It is time to demand that everyone has a stake in the community there is no room for the unwilling nonparticipant. We make it so easy to be a dud without any demands. There are no entitlements! We have to take this opportunity and push the limits of science and technology and we can't do that if we are tripping over deadbeats.
Please please please take 25 minutes and go see what one man envisioned in the 50's and think what we could do now and write letters, make phone calls, rattle some office cages. Please don't let them truck money into a vile corrupt pit just to maintain the status quo in the hopes of protecting their sorry political asses.

Nope, ..I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you? So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people. They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winning and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone lest they be guilty of profiling. Let's send this to as many people as we can so that the Gloria Aldreds and other dunder-headed attorneys along with Federal Justices that want to thwart common sense, feel doubly ashamed of themselves -- if they have any such sense. As the writer of the award winning story "Forrest Gump" so aptly put it, "Stupidis as stupid does." Come on people wake up!!! Our Country and our troops need our support. ?

BLAME!

PEOPLE ARE DYING IN LINES AND ON ROOF TOPS!

And you want to place blame on someone!

Shut up!

Do something to help these people.

Putting pen to paper in Kyoto would not have stopped the storm. Not driving an S.U.V. would not have stopped the storm.
1 (one) volcano puts out more junk than all of the cars ever built. What would have been the excuse for the storm of 1900 that killed 6,000+ and destroyed Galveston, Texas? So shut up!

How arrogant to think that we could be responsible for the weather! So shut up.
Weather is weather and that's all there is to it, there is no such thing as the angry earth! Shut up!

Why do people live in these places? Because it is a great life. We don't shovel snow. We eat great food from the sea. We have a diverse economy that survives recession well. And the rest of the country and world count on us to be here working the ports and energy industry. So shut up.
It is not the Federal Governments job to take care of the needs of individuals or reimbursement for loss, this is a bastardized (Great Society) application of our system. This is or should be the responsibility of communities.

How is it that the greatest country in the history of mankind can have assets on the far side of the earth helping people before the calendar changes?! Yet we have the kind of anarchy we see in the Crescent City!

I would love to not have been prompted to ponder such questions (at least until everyone that can be saved has been rescued) but the social aspects can not be ignored even this early because valuable resources are being diverted form saving people to running armed escorts for medics.

Historically New Orleans has been a fast and loose "laissez les bons temps rouler" kind of place. That is part of the charm that makes it what it is (was).
The cops there will tolerate a lot. The standard is 'jus a 'lil defernt'.
For some reason the diversity in that city not only includes culture but severe class and economic separations. It is not for lack of work or bad economy.
Here comes the blame part...
When the word went out to get out, the HAVES that could, got out. The HAVE NOTS that could not or would not, didn't. That is what happens when you make people dependent on the government for everything. Projects for housing, food stamps for subsistence, hand outs for health and welfare. Public transportation is just another facet of welfare and dependency. Those that had the S.U.V.s were able to get around even after the worst was over.
It is hard not to say that "your dumb ass" is there looting which is probably illustrative of your entire miserable chaotic life of never being responsible for anything including yourself.
We don't see this kind of anarchy in third world countries when disaster strikes. That is because we are fat and lazy and lay around waiting for the government to come do for us.
Consider 1900 Galveston, Texas. No CNN, no FOX NEWS, no Weather channel, no RED CROSS. Word went down the street, house to house to drill holes (not with a cordless drill) in your floor so it doesn't float off of it's pilings and to this day people warned by their parents and grandparents still have a fireaxe mounted in the attic to escape when retreat has failed or rescue is at hand. God forbid dying trapped in an attic at over 120 degrees on a good day. We have been made weak at the government tit. If we are going to render these creatures helpless then it is our responsibility to take care of them at all times, not just when it is easy and keeps them quiet! When people get desperate they loose all sense of civility. Can you see now how a hand out has never helped anyone.
A spokesman for the La. Office of Homeland Securty actually said on national TV when asked why the 'Guard was not ready?...."The storm caught us off guard". The National Guard can't get caught with their "guard down". We are at the mercy of idiots.

Losers and winners

Since when do we kiss the losers ass and give them rewards for being wrong! Asking the Israelis to leave homes and land that has been a part of their country for more than half of it's existence 38 of 57 years. That would be like telling me to get out of Texas so we can give it to Mexico so they can feel better about themselves! That aint gonna happen quietly.
Why should this surprise anyone, we see it all the time. Convicts have more opportunities than a hard working person on the outside. Illigals getting services that are denied citizens. Political winners acquiesce to the losers in the name of decorum and the status quo.
Bull! Time to call 'um as we see 'um. If you are wrong, lost the war, committed a crime, lost the election, made bad choices in life then shut up and get out of the way. Uncouple your craniorectal loopback and get with the program. There are many formula and examples of how to succeed. If you have some other definition of success that does not fit the norm (in this country) then go for it, good luck, best wishes and Gods speed. Don't demand that I have to help you or join you. Do your own thing baby.

A GOOD DAY

I took my grandchildren to the beach today.
Thank God that there are men and women out there keeping bad guys busy over there so we can sit here fat, dumb and happy. At least until the disillusioned ignorant rubes of Islam that are already here waiting to hit us again get their orders.
Whatever the reason for being over there, who cares as long as it stays over there. Some days I think it would be better to fight these bastards on the street in front of my house and get this over with. That is known as the "Bubba factor" and I hope it is the only thing that gives them pause when they think about doing something stupid. Once Bubba has had enough it's gonna get ugly and that is probably why the government is trying to keep a lid on us.

SOLD OUT!

I have previously mentioned we are dead and just don't know it. We have the power to put the entire world on notice and have them begging us for the good old days when we were involved in everyones bussiness. We need to get our energy needs inside our shores and bring everyone home.
Let the world wonder whats going on inside here and if anyone looks too close then we smack them down hard. When we won't buy, sell or trade with anyone that is not 100% with us, they will get with the program and we never have to fire a shot.
It doesn't really matter anyway. We have been sold out by our own government. "Able Danger" 'nuff said.

A joint military exercise titled “Peace Mission 2005” is to be a massive engagement of China’s army, navy, and air force in conjunction with Russian naval and air resources beginning Aug. 18.
Both China and Russia have stated that the purpose of the substantial war games being held is to be equipped to fight the threat of terrorism. It is hard to comprehend, though, how long-distance bombers, amphibious assault training, cruise missile attacks on sea targets, and anti-submarine warfare equates to stopping the “terrorism threat.” A more sinister reasoning for the war games may be better understood from a look at a secret facility being constructed by the Kremlin. An enormous underground command and control structure in the event of nuclear war is being built within Yamantau Mountain in the Ural mountain chain. The exact size of the bunker is hard to ascertain but satellite reconnaissance estimated it was bigger than the Washington, D.C., beltway and growing. The Pentagon has already given tours of the NORAD facility in Cheyenne Mountain for the Russian high command but have yet to be given the same type of privileges at Yamantau. One thing that has been consistent coming out of the Russian camp has been its steady stream of contradictory statements concerning what exactly is going on at Yamantau Mountain. Moscow’s true intent at Yamantau may be found in other military activities, like Russian bombers penetrating into Icelandic airspace in 1999 during a large exercise. The aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk was taken completely by surprise when Russian SU-27 fighter aircraft flew overhead in the fall of 2000. Russian naval spokesman Anatoly Kornukov admitted that the surprise simulated attack on the USS Kitty Hawk and had been planned as he made sure to emphasize the “panic” that the fly-over caused on the unsuspecting crew below. Former KGB operative, President Vladimir Putin boasted last year that Russia had successfully tested a new strategic missile system that U.S. defenses would be incapable of stopping due to its maneuverability. It appears the Russians have been active in maintaining the country’s war posture with an emphasis on delivering nuclear payloads to their targets in the U.S. in spite of contrary reports elsewhere. The Chinese have consistently been swooning their neighbors to the north in an effort to bolster their own military objectives. The People’s Republic of China has made it very clear that the island nation of Taiwan must be repatriated back to the Motherland. The PRC has also issued clear warnings about interference from the U.S. on the Taiwan issue. Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji claimed in 1999 that U.S. policy towards Taiwan was making war inevitable between the PRC and America. There have been several other remarks made by senior Chinese officials reiterating Rongji’s comments that war is approaching. The late chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Thomas Moorer, certainly believed the Chinese as he spent the final few years of his life warning the American people about a future war with China. In a sense China has been conducting a “war” on the U.S. for some time now with nuclear espionage at Los Alamos, arming rogue states such as Iran and North Korea with nuclear technology, annexing the Spratly islands for military purposes, and aggressively using front companies to seize vital real estate, the Panama Canal for example, out from under the nose of the United States. The congressional report authored by Rep. Christopher Cox was a scathing indictment on Chinese spying activities at Los Alamos and other U.S. facilities that led Chinese Ambassador Li Zhao Xing to lament the “groundless” and “insulting” findings of the Cox report and the “bossy manner” in which it was viewed to have been written. Information coming from Russian sources has hinted at the real intention of the war games. The Russian newspaper Kommersant alleged that earlier this year Beijing demanded that the armed maneuvers be held in the province of Zhejiang, which is a province on the coast near Taiwan. The Russian state-run newspaper Ria-Novosti even expressed concern for the scope of naval involvement, which was sure to be viewed as a precursor for a Chinese invasion of Taiwan. The PRC finally agreed to move the naval portion of the exercise off the Jiaodong peninsula on the Yellow Sea but the implications are apparent that the war game military endeavor is directed towards Taiwan. The Russians are desperate to take their relationship with China even further then the “unparalleled heights” that Putin has claimed they have reached. The Kremlin has practically any and all military weapons up for sale for their Chinese brethren. What a farce the supposed post-Cold War alliance between the U.S. and Russia has been. While America has sent cash to the Kremlin to dismantle aging nuclear weapons, the Russians have instead used U.S. funds to upgrade their defense apparatus and military hardware so the Chinese can buy those newly minted Russian warships and aircraft to bolster their coming conflict with the U.S. Certainly the Chinese have an understanding that their upcoming takeover of Taiwan will entail going to war with America as they have stated. The missing piece that the Pentagon has failed to realize is that China intends to assault the U.S. homeland. That is when the Russian partnership with China could pay huge dividends for Beijing. When America commits itself to defend Taiwan from the Chinese invasion it may find that Russian ICBMs with nuclear warheads are already homing in on their American objectives. A Russian strike would be the main course but it will be the pre-meal appetizers such as suitcase nukes and biological agents unleashed on American cities that will try to weaken our response and resolve. The argument against such a scenario is always the canned reply that America possesses a strong nuclear deterrent that will ensure annihilation of her enemies. Once again it is the very misunderstanding of its “enemies” that leaves the United States vulnerable. Former Soviet Premiere Nikita Khrushchev recalled in his memoirs that Chinese leader Mao Zedong maintained that losing a large portion of one’s population in a nuclear war would hence mean victory to the nation with the greatest number of people. Chinese military official Zhu Chenghu recently commented that American involvement in the battle for Taiwan would call for a nuclear strike on the U.S. Chenghu continued by saying that the PRC was prepared for the destruction of all their cities east of Xian and that the Americans had better be ready for hundreds of their cities to be destroyed as well. The basic tenants of Mao’s philosophy on war have not changed within China and that is why America’s Mutually Assured Destruction policy is flawed. Another possible coordinated plan of attack would be to detonate a high-yield nuclear device approximately 250 miles above the United States. This could easily be done from an offensive weaponry system in space or a ground based missile. The subsequent electromagnetic pulse that a nuclear bomb generates would render the continental United States “dark” by eliminating our electronic-based way of life. Dr. George Ullrich, a weapons specialist for the Department of Defense, commented regarding an EMP strike that, “A knowledgeable adversary could exploit such a perceived weakness, thereby severely degrading the U.S. technological advantage, and he could do so in a way that would not likely provoke an immediate nuclear retaliation.” The Chinese are getting ready for a possible nuclear exchange with the U.S., as they have been practicing sending their population to underground bunkers. The evacuations of the Chinese populace were done under the pretense to cool them off from the summer heat. It is strikingly contradictory that a nation whose tanks were used to roll over its own people at Tiananmen Square is now concerned with keeping them protected from unpleasant weather. What implications could the “mole” like tendencies of the Chinese evacuation bunkers and the Russians at Yamantau Mountain have other than preparing for nuclear war. The United States on the other hand is too busy watching television shows like “Desperate Housewives” instead of being concerned about its safety. The American people have been slow to stay on alert since the terrorist attack on the Twin Towers, unlike our response to being hit at Pearl Harbor. Russia and China will be conducting war game scenarios in August aimed at invading Taiwan and neutralizing the American response. If America does not wake up from its internal moral decay and complacency then another surprise attack is coming. JUST ONE MORE STRAW

In an effort to stay on topics of current headlines I feel the need to toss my couple of cents at the border/security/immigration issue.
The security aspect should be self explanatory but some how when these fools (politician's) get to Washington they have to check their common sense at the door. We can post our people on the border of every other country in the world (Korea, Germany, Bosnia, etc.) but don't think it is important to do likewise on our own.
It has been said that the illegals have a negative impact on public resources ie: schools, hospitals, services etc. Lets just assume this to be true. I can confidently say that it is, by vertue of living in Texas and don't get in a car accident with an illegal. Dollars to donuts he will not have any insurance. Enough of that, they get beat up on plenty and you know all the stories anyway.
It has also been said that if we stem the tide of labor our economy would suffer. Lets also assume this to be true, once again I can attest to the validity of the statement. The variety of fields you can find an illegal in are as many as there are entries in the yellow pages.
I know you are thinking that there is no answer, can't fix one without breaking the other.
BULL !
If I have to pay a higher price for goods and services due to the lack of cheap labor, then I should not have to pay as much for the infrastructure that is not being consumed buy illegals due to the lack of cheap labor. ERGO (always wanted to use that word) I would not be paying to support my cheap labor and have a lesser tax burden to pay the more natural price for goods and services not artificially lowered by the cheap labor.....
Do you think we will get any of our tax money back if the border is controled?

Now you see how it is all intertwined. Capitalism is like a glass of water and will always find level when left alone but when you try to adjust or influence it to fit someone's idea of what is fair then there is no natural level and the entire system is blown.
Someone is going to get rich and someone has to dig the ditches.

WHY DON'T WE GET IT!

Why have we still not figured it out! We have people dying every day and for what? I am the biggest hawk that ever pulled a grenade pin and would RE-UP in a second if we would 'GIT-R-DUN'.
I have bored you in previous entries with how I think our preservation should be executed so I will try to limit myself here.
There can be no surrender. Whom will the signatories be? The enemy does not have an embassy this side of Mecca or fly a common banner. With whom shall we negotiate the peace. This can only be resolved by total wholesale slaughter (VICTORY) of anyone deemed "THE ENEMY". It must hurt so bad that it will be a dark spot on human history, but for generations people will commit suicide if they had a dream about messing with us.

THE BAD GUYS MAY HAVE ALREADY WON!
They have us spending our money at a rate never matched in history to make us feel safe with very little true value for the investment.
They have us sniching on each other and scrutinizing our neighbors activities.
They have us pissing our pants everytime a car backfires!
A bus catches fire and it is worldwide news!!!
I don't want to be polite any longer.
I don't want to counsel or sue or embrace or understand them. I think I have just described how prejudice is developed. Because at this point I I will probably not go out of my way to get to know a Muslim neighbor except for to keep an eye on him and that is sad. See what they have done to me.
I want my life back!

DON'T TELL ME WHAT I HAVE TO TOLERATE

Just because the bible said I should tolerate does not mean that I have to buy into, or embrace any culture that is riddled with flaws and foolishness. My daughter felt that she had to adapt to the dominant (hip-hop, urban, black and just generally trendy P.C.) culture in her school to survive and not be branded a racist.
Why should you enjoying whatever you are into at the moment have any bearing on any other culture, unless you are tring to change something about me and mine. My culture should not have had to change in any way for you to embrace yourself. So be happy in your blackness or gayness or whatever 'ness' you claim. (I hate associating blacks and gays as a case in argument as they are totally unrelated struggles).
Part of my frustration is that I should not have to fight to hold what I have, if you like what you see then come on and join in. That's a "melting pot" not a salad bowl. So get "yur thang out ma face" because I don't have to acknowledge it or embrace it or participate.
The world is ripping apart at the seams and we have bigger fish to fry than to be worried if someones selfesteem is in tact.

WHO IS IN CHARGE

We are fighting for our lives and loosing! We cant even call a terrorist an Islamic terrorist.
EVERY NIGHT on the news there is a "SEX OFFENDER" grabbing another kid. Killing, maiming, raping, steeling, lying. Blowing the commandments out the window not that we need them everywhere; "in you're face". So, you have done wrong but were never told that these things are wrong! Why do we keep letting them tell us what to do?! Who's in charge!
On the news it is never an unknown first time offender that snags a kid. Invariably it is a prior multytime looser. Why do we keep letting them out?! Who's in charge!
Terrorists come in all shapes and sizes but at this time they all seem to be Islamic terrorists! But we will prosecute soldiers who kill terrorists in a combat zone. Why do we keep letting them tell us how to fight a war, they don't even like war what do they know about it? Who's in charge!
Everything is all backwards, how did it come to this? I think of the world I grew up in (born in '59) . I may have been a little naive but it sure seemed perfect at the time. I want that world back! I would give up my computer and be happy with black and white T.V. and 10 channels, giant cars with roll down windows and no seatbelts!
Wrong is wrong and thats all there is to it so shut up!

Think about our government, "The Perfect Union" WAS just about that, in the beginning. Yes we were probably referred to as terrorists but the big difference is that we wanted to be left alone NOT IMPOSE OURSELVES ON ANYONE ELSE! Not to kill anyone that didn't pray to the same god or submit to life as we see it, JUST TO BE LEFT ALONE!

The whole thing has gotten out of control! The founders had hoped to limit the government, not rig it so that the government could gain evermore control and responsibility for individuals lives.

Government can be as small as to the local Neighborhood level

Sorry if this is redundant but you get the point (Every payday). Do we really need this many people looking after us? We only have ourselves to blame because it has been made so easy to just ask/demand that government do for us than to do for ourselves. How did it come to this, where the Federal government is concerned with any aspect of an individuals life! Why then do we still have all of those SELFAGGRANDIZING, NARCISSISTIC, LITTLE ASSHOLES SUPPOSEDLY LOOKING OUT FOR US!

Thank God for Al Gore, he invented the Internet (so he said). And thank God for Bill Clinton he made sure the everyone has access, so every homeless person can wander into any fire house and check his e-mail.
That being said consider this.
How is it that we can talk directly to someone on the other side of the Earth about anything instantly via a "chat room" on the WWW. We trust all of our financial assets to an ATM. Yet we distrust an electronic voting machine!
WHAT IF!?
What if I am so inclined and interested I could go to a government operated, moderated chat room of topics or business of the day that interest me. I can discuss with my neighbors and other interested individuals the pros, cons, argue, convince, convert or be converted. Then at a preannounced time all discussion is terminated and we may cast a vote! Then the next day the votes are tallied and published and a small group of bureaucrats execute the will of the people, thus eliminating hordes of obstacles to progress.
Take this streamlining even farther. It has been estimated that taxes combined could be as high as 50%.
WHAT IF
What if the government who loves to print volumes of bullshit could print a catalog of every agency that needs a buck is listed with a synopsis of its function and budget. Be it the Mohair Commission entrusted with securing the quality of imported Mohair or the Defense Department or H.U.D. or the darkest most clandestine agency working on the next big "star wars" project. If it is something that I am interested in and support I just check the box and to what percentage I wish to support it until my bill totals my tax obligation. If your favorite agency is the N.E.A. and it does not get enough interest and funding BY THOSE THAT ARE INTERESTED IN IT! Then it will just not happen that year and any funding it does get will go into the general fund. Agencies would be responsible for promoting their usefulness to gain support next year. This way the people have spoken and we don't need a bunch of useless, out of work Lawyers posing as politicians in parttime jobs playing with our lives.
Here in Texas our beloved Dems skipped town, left the state, abandoned their post, didn't show up for work, didn't call in sick and didn't have a note from their doctor to avoid a vote ! If I did that at my job I wouldn't even have to clean out my desk it would be delivered to me! And these are Parttime employees because it damn sure aint no full time gig going to parties and fundraisers! Then just to show me how insignificant I am to them they pass (by voice vote so there is no record and provides denyability) a 25% retirement increase!
SO WHAT THE HELL ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT! NOT A DAMN THING ARE WE?

WHY DO WE STILL CARE

Every weekend millions of gallons of ethanol fuel and synthetic lubricants that have nothing to do with hydrocarbons are used in thousands of racecars, motorcycles, boats and airplanes. Why then are we fighting in the middle east. I believe as much as anyone that anywhere there is a democracy is better than whatever the alternative is. I don't however feel that we can hand people democracy on a silver platter! It is something that must be bought and paid for with their blood.
I fear that I am turning into an isolationist. I can't think of anything I want or need from anywhere in the world that could not be made in this hemisphere. All of the condoms and shower curtains made in Hong Kong could be made in Latin America; that is taking care of friends and neighbors and could go a long way towards solving the immigration problem.
We pay farmers to not grow crops! How stupid is that! I am not what one would call a tree hugging earth first card carrying member of Greenpeace but I do believe that we can get just about anything we need from the earth with proper stewardship and technology. We could fuel our vehicles from the fields and make plastics from grain starches and save the oil for really important things that only oil can do. I don't even advocate using less. I say use more, go farther, faster, have more fun, do more, waste it if you want but lets do it smarter. We have an energy based economy and when we control the energy we will have the power. More than one movie has been based on the idea of world domination by controlling the power.
Sorry if I am rambling from racecars to condoms to immigration to tree hugging to movies but you see how it is all intertwined, everything depends on everything. We can bring all of the troops home to defend our shores instead of everyone else's. And let the rest of the world figure it out for themselves.
Africa is a wholly European problem they have spent the last 200 years raping the continent then bailed and we are supposed to clean up the mess! Everywhere the French go we are sure to have to follow and try to clean up behind them. Suez, Panama, Korea, Vietnam, etc...
Even slavery can be blamed on the Europeans. They were the traffickers and we were the end consumers, we were also one of the first countries to figure out it wasn't the right thing to do and abandon the practice (and it didn't take a war to stop slavery). No country has done more to make it up and set things right so shut up.
There I go off in another tangent!
I can't help but think that sending billions of dollars all over the world in the name of helping and not fixing the problem makes us look really stupid. NO time tables, no demands for repayment no expectations for results. The only expectation is that we will send more next year! I feel like I am going mad and this is not the world I was born into. Desperation brings demands for change and if they choose wrong then so be it. We have provided the world with a perfect example of how to do amazing things in a very short time and hopefully those that choose to follow our example can pull it off minus some of the few mistakes.
Everyday I have to fight within myself to not say "to hell with them" at this point I don't care if they get democracy or not. And I am sick and tired of the seditious press that keeps telling us how bad America is. And I'm sick of hearing about U.S. troops dyeing everyday. I would rather fight the bad guys on the street in front of my house than have guy die for basically nothing. We can do this without ever a soldier being scratched... Start shooting and don't stop until there is nothing left to shoot at. That is a surefire way to insure that the job gets done.

ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOODS SHOULD BE LEVELED AND THEIR ANCESTORS DUG UP TILL THEY FIGURE OUT THAT IT 'AINT GONNA WORK!
WE HAVE TO MAKE IT HURT SO BAD THAT WHEN MUHTMOUD & TOULBAHR ARE SITTING IN THE DESERT BOILING A CUP OF TEA OVER A CAMEL DUNG CAMP FIRE AND MUHTMOUD SAYS TO TOULBAHR "LETS GO SCREW WITH THE AMERICANS." TOULBAHR WILL SLAP THE SHIT OUT OF MUHTMOUD FOR JUST THINKING ABOUT IT!
THEN WE HAVE PEACE. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE ROGUES AND CRIMINALS IN ANY CULTURE BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS! NO COUNTRY IN HISTORY HAS DONE MORE FOR MORE PEOPLE WITHOUT QUESTION THAN, GUESS WHO.

I CAN'T HELP BUT THINK HOW SUCCESSFUL WE COULD BE IF 50%OF OUR OWN GOVERNMENT WERE NOT ALSO FIGHTING US TOOTH AND NAIL EVERY STEP OF THE WAY JUST TO UNDERMINE "THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ISLE" SO THEY CAN GET BACK IN THE BIG CHAIR DAMN THE CONSEQUENCES, AND THAT IS TREASON!
I DON'T FEAR AL-QAIDA AS MUCH AS I DO MY OWN GOVERNMENT!
I SHOULD PROBABLY QUIT LONG ABOUT NOW BEFORE I GET BRANDED AN ANARCHIST OR SOMETHING BUT I JUST HAD TO BLOW OFF SOME OF THIS AND JUST MAYBE I WILL BE HEARD IN THE HALLS OF CONGRESS. PLEASE DROP ME A NOTE AND TELL ME IF I AM TO FAR OFF BASE.

WELCOME;
I hope this will be worth your time. I have bored my wife and family with my ranting, so I figure its time to see if I am off base or are some of the things that rattle around in my head are valid enough to let out.
If turning off the air conditioning and playing RAP (I resist calling it music) at GITMO is considered torture then why can I pour myself from a life threateningly hot Texas attic in July, that's my job. Get in a hot truck and have to listen to an injuriously loud sound system from the gaudy vehicle next to me at a traffic light. And I have to tolerate this abuse in the in the name of DIVERSITY! I arrive at home peel my sweaty dirty clothes and try to become a sane and happy father and grandfather. Items in my house start to jump and dance on the shelves as a vehicle passes by pounding the ground with bass sounds called "the urban beat"! BUT THIS IS NOT TORTURE?!?! I look at the $$ TAKEN from my check to go to keeping terrorists that used to live in a cave supplied with the best food that they have ever had, a new Koran that most of them can't even read! They get the cleanest accommodations they have ever known and medical treatment! Still flinging feces and food at their captors. The only thing that matters in their miserable disgusting lives is to kill you, my kids and grandkids and me because we don't think the way they do! More of my $$ goes to fund some African warlord in the name of "aid to the children"! I see my $$ going to the citizen with the over dressed car that rearranges things in my house because he has more disposable income than I; due to living in subsidized housing and dealing a little dope on the side, so he can put a $4,000 sound system in a $400 car to say look at me since there is no other reason to notice him. All I want is to send my grandkids to camp and a better school. YES I AM THE ANGRY WHITE MAN!
